Showing Up with Confidence
I was sitting with a friend recently, explaining how I was grappling with why of all the people in the world whom I trust, none of the people on my list are me. I realized it was time to bypass the bull and figure out tangible ways to boost my confidence and I hope you will join me.
Confidence Booster: Live by your values
Realign your actions with your values. Doing what you mean and meaning what you say are incredibly important. Live a life you can feel proud of right now. It’s in you. You ALREADY can be the best version of yourself.
YOU ARE CRUSHING IT.
Confidence Booster: Believe in yourself!
Okay, so you’re living your values. But if you’re like me, part of the problem is that you don’t believe that this makes you any more worthy. Except, you always were. Believe it. Put that soundtrack on repeat and play it LOUD. If you have to say I AM WORTHY! I AM WORTHY! I AM BEAUTIFUL! I AM BEAUTIFUL! Over and over again. Out loud...do it. Because you are. Only you get to choose whether or not you believe it.
Confidence Booster : Take time for yourself
I recently found that after constantly being around people, I start to feel exhausted and confused. All it takes for me to feel sane again is a few hours of time alone. It’s amazing what silence can bring. As much as I love the incredible humans in my life, there are times when I have to be alone. It’s healthy to take time for yourself. Oftentimes that question or lesson you’ve been grappling with will become clear. Taking time for yourself to reset, whatever that looks like for you, is one of the most important tools in your toolkit.
TAKING TIME FOR YOURSELF IS BRAVE, AND IMPORTANT.
I’m the first to admit that I am actively working to boost my confidence as we speak, and I’ll be working through these very same steps. I invite you to join me.
It’s time to do something different, maybe get a little radical, and show up like we’ve never shown up before.
